From forgotten spring house to cozy one of a kind cabin.
Engaged to give this long forgotten stone spring house new life. We worked to lovingly restore this structure from the ground up. With great attention to detail and consideration for the history of the structure.
PLANNING & DESIGN
In a historic restoration like this consideration of the buildings original plan, purpose and surroundings are key. We took time to understand these factors and worked closely with the client to understand their needs and also their aspirations for this project. The plan we developed helped to weave all these factors together into an approach that was equal parts specific, and open ended. Leaving room to learn from the site and building throughout the process and uncover the correct path was key to the projects success.
Beginning with repair and modifications to the existing stone structure. We cleaned, repointed the stone work and raised the elevation of the uphill wall to level with the front facade.
